Some information about this agraharam. It was an unconditional gift from Maharaja Marthanda Varma of Travancore to eighteen Vedic scholars in the year 1753. The agraharam has temples for Navaneethagopala Krishnar and Kasi Vishwanathar and Visalakshi. More recently, a Shirdi Baba temple and a Raghavendra Swamy’s Brindavanam have been built, adding to the auspiciousness and spiritual grandeur of the village agraharam.
Each house in the village faces either South or North. There is a coconut grove behind each home. Beyond the coconut groves of the homes there are paddy fields on either side of the agraharam.
